GENERAL TERMS

           Booking

  • Reservations are made based on the CATEGORY and not a specific car model.
  • To place a Reservation with Rent24carrental there are the following ways: in our web site, e-mail,phone call or messaging us in Whatsapp and Viber
  • For reservation through the web site you will receive confirmation within 48h
  • For Reservations under than 24h can only be made by phone.
  •  For the reservation it is mandatory to provide ID or Passport and driving license.
  • In case of theft of the tenant’s personal belongings, the company bears no responsibility. 
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the car.
  • Delivery outside working hours (08:00-21:00) is charged.

DRIVER’S AGE

  • • The minimum age is 23 years.
  • • The upper age limit is 72 years.

In case you are 21 or 22 years old (and you have your driver’s license for more than a year) or over 72-80 years old there is a possibility of renting with a surcharge of 5.00 euros per day for additional insurance required.

INSURANCE

The Insurance provided is Full coverage without deposit.

In Full coverage insurance without deposit are ΝΟΤ covered:

  • Violations of the Traffic Code such as violation of red traffic light, STOP sign, driving under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs or other substances, violation of the speed limit etc.
  • Driving on unauthorized roads where the Traffic Code does not apply.
  • Driving with intentional damage and / or careless and negligent manner.
  •  Our cars are insured for the maximum number of passengers. For security reasons, this number cannot be exceeded. In case of exceeding the insurance can be canceled and the tenant is charged with the cost of repairing the car in case of accident or damage.
  • In case of accident or damage that we need to use the insurance there is a fee of 100 euro for processing. (Excluded glasses) that have not fee. 
  • The under body and tires are not covered.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               
  • ACCIDENT / INJURY CASE                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   
  • In the event of an accident, the renter must call the company and the police immediately (phone number: 100). Also, the renter should never leave the scene of the accident without notifying the police and our company. It is necessary to wait for the arrival of the police in order to make an official report of the accident, a copy of which must be delivered to our company upon the return of the car. This report should state whether one of the drivers involved was under the influence of alcohol, drugs and / or other substances.
  • Our company must be informed immediately for any damage to the car. If the vehicle was parked, the company must be informed before moving the vehicle. In case the above procedure is not followed, the tenant is responsible for the total amount of the damage. The renter is solely responsible in case of accident. Our company is not responsible for accidents or damage caused off-road as well as in cases where the driver was under the influence of drugs, drugs, etc.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

Payment can be made through our site or when picking up the vehicle in the following ways:

  • Visa, Mastercard
  • Debit Card,
  • Credit card,
  • or Cash.

All payments made using the card are processed through the electronic payment platform of “Nexi e-Commerce” of Nexi Payments Greece S.A. and uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol encryption with 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a way of coding the information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation of the reservation is free 48 hours before arrival. Bank charges in case of cancellation are borne by the customer.

RENTAL PROCEDURE 

The renter is responsible for inspecting the vehicle (interior and exterior), reporting any damage to a Rent24Carrentals representative, checking the fuel level and signing the “Vehicle Status Report” upon receiving the vehicle. The tenant is obliged to bring the car back in the same condition. If a vehicle is returned in a very dirty condition which makes it difficult to check the condition of the vehicle, the renter may have to wait until the vehicle is cleaned and pay € 20.00 for this service. Vehicles that return in poor condition and dirty inside will be charged for special cleaning with a minimum cost of 60.00 euros.

EXTENSION OF RENT
If the renter wishes to extend the original agreed rental of the vehicle, they should contact “Rent24Carrentals” by telephone 2 days before the end of the initial lease, so that the rental extension can be noted in the Lease Agreement. Otherwise, there will be a charge. The insurance coverages are valid and cover the car only for the period agreed and mentioned in the lease agreement. The extension is made only in case of availability.

DRIVING LICENSE
Countries whose driving licenses are accepted.
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Estonia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Finland, Croatia, United States of America, Canada*, Australia, United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Serbia, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Israel (details must be written in Latin characters), Russia (details must be written in Latin characters), Turkey (details must be written in Latin characters), United Arab Emirates (details must be written in Latin characters).

*If the national driving license of Canada is in French, it must be accompanied by an official state document translated into English or Greek and certified by a competent authority.

For all other countries, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is strictly required.

If the necessary documents are not available, the lease ceases to be valid and there is no refund.

FINES AND INFRINGEMENTS

The renter is solely responsible for the cost of traffic fines or other administrative violations. In case of withholding of the license plates this procedure  is associated with a specific costs of €150.00, if we undertake the execution of the procedure. The fine, crane and storage are NOT included.

Geolocation Application Data

 Rent24carrentals has installed GPS devices in its vehicles. The system is activated to locate the vehicle in cases of theft or embezzlement, or when the vehicle is not returned on time and communication with the renter is not possible. The application provides data for:• Vehicle check (Smart Check-in): Evaluation of use and details such as kilometers traveled and fuel level.• Information on the vehicle’s maintenance status.• Management of incidents with significant damage to the vehicle.• Asset catalog: Precise location and recording of the company’s vehicles for management and reporting. This technology is also used to ensure compliance with Road Traffic Regulations and to check if the driver is an authorized person according to the rental agreement. In case of violation of the rental terms or legislation, the insurance coverage provided by the company ceases to apply. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest in protecting the property and safe operation of the company’s vehicles.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER/S
The Second Driver is free. The third driver is charged with 3.00 euros per day.

CAR REPLACEMENT
Car replacement after a fault or accident with no responsibility of the renter, takes place within 48 hours. In case of deflated or punctured tire, the car is not replaced (there is 24-hour roadside assistance).

CHILD SEATS
Available only after reservation and with a charge.

NAVIGATOR – GPS
Available only after booking and with a charge of 30€ for the entire duration of the lease

TRANSPORT BY SHIP AND OUTSIDE GREECE:
Travelling by ship is allowed only with the written approval of our company and cost 20 euro.

Crossing the borders is strictly prohibited, regardless of participation in the Schengen Zone. In case the fleet management system detects a violation of this condition, a one-time charge of €200 + VAT will be applied. Furthermore, in such a case, the vehicle will not be covered by comprehensive insurance, theft insurance, or any other insurance coverage. All insurance terms will be void, and the renter will bear full responsibility for any damage or loss incurred..

FUEL POLICY
The car must be returned with the same fuel level it had at the time of arrival.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
The Customer is financially charged for the following damages:

  • • Loss / damage to the keys 100€ to 300€
  • • Damage to the seats
  • • Any damage, burning and / or stain caused to the car due to smoking.
  • • Extreme dirt in the car
  • • Any damage to the car due to negligence or malicious action
  • • Damage caused by the use of faulty or defective fuel
  • • Items that have been stolen from the car or damaged in the event of an accident.

 

PROHIBITIONS

  • • The vehicle cannot be used off-road on sand beaches, etc.
  • • The vehicle cannot be used for the transport of flammable and hazardous materials, etc.
  • • The vehicle may not be driven by a person other than those specified in the contract.
  • • The vehicle is prohibited from towing and towed by another vehicle.
  • • The vehicle cannot carry more people than those mentioned in the registration certificate.
  • • The car cannot be repaired either by the renter or third parties without the prior approval of our company.

FORCE MAJEURE

Our company is not responsible for non-receipt / delivery, cancellation and / or theft of the car due to any unexpected incident that is beyond our control as a result of force majeure (war, terrorist acts, virus, etc.).
